What’s been happening:

After completing my BS in 1972, I served for three years as a Weapons Officer on the aircraft carrier USS Saratoga CV-60, with time in Vietnam. Following my release from active duty, I returned to Happy Valley, earned a teaching certification, taught high school and Penn State adult evening programs, and was invited back to PSU as a Graduate TA to instruct two Agricultural Engineering courses. In 1979 I redirected my career to industry and have been with Crucible Research in Pittsburgh for the last 30 years as Plant Engineer. I have two beautiful daughters - Heather, who is married to Jacob Pfeffer, a PSU Mechanical Engineer, and who recently presented me with a granddaughter, and Katrina, who is a Journeyman Tile Setter. My wife, Susan (Weiss), is a '76 PSU grad in Education and has added five great stepchildren and another granddaughter to my life. Fond memories of PSU friends and events will be forever etched into our minds.
